Welcome

Welcome, let us introduce ourselves. We are Tim and Amanda Kelly. We have three children: Zach-13, Forrest-11, and Emma-8. We are serving with the Christian and Missionary Alliance at the Bongolo Evangelical Hospital in Gabon, Africa. We are serving under the (STMO) Short Term Missions Office of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in a self-funded position. Our purpose here is to set up and manage a short term mission center. The Bongolo hospital hosts a number of work and medical teams annually, this number continues to grow, and thus has created a need for such a center. We have a call to connect Gods people with Gods work.

We are from Franklin, NC, just south of Asheville in the Smokey Mountains. There we attended First Alliance Church of Franklin for 11 years. We were: baptized, married, started our family, and heard God’s call to full time missions while in fellowship at First Alliance Church. As part of God’s call in our lives we made a 2 ½ year move to Connecticut; where we lived while Tim finished his degree at Nyack College. For two of those years we called Torrington, CT home. There we attended and found a church family at Calvary Baptist Church.

It was a long and difficult process, one that required a lot of hat juggling and changes for the whole family, but God showed Himself faithful and true every day.

In Jan. ’09 we said good-bye to our northern family and made the move back to NC to make our final preparations for Gabon. On March 7, 2009 the much anticipated day had arrived. With a bittersweet excitement in our hearts we said good-bye to family and friends and boarded a plane for Libreville, Gabon.

Please look aroud our site, fill out our guestbook and give us your feedback. Check out the about us to learn more of the personal side of things.
